Tom is right. This is a trend-setting rod! I would say that in the West there has been a bias against ORVIS fly rods.... until now. With the advent of the Helios, ORVIS is instantly in the company of the best fly rods in the world. If you have not tried this rod you should. It is strange at first to be throwing a six-weight that feels like a four weight, but after a few casts it is a dream! It really is ahead of its time (and by the way Tom is full of it when he says he is not a good caster -- especially with the Helios). He wrote the bible on introductory fly fishing.
